Solution Consultant (Business Analyst)

BPS Resolver Inc. (Toronto, ON) provides compliance and enterprise risk management software and services to F1000 companies in over 40 countries.  Areas of focus include internal controls (SOX/Bill 198) compliance, Enterprise Risk Management processes, risk assessments, IT process improvement, issue and action tracking, internal audit and NERC Compliance.

Growing rapidly, this innovative software and services company is looking to hire a Solution Consultant for Governance, Risk, and Compliance to be based out of the Toronto area.

Job Description

You will work with our clients to help them derive the most business value from implementing our software.  The Solution Consultant is responsible for coordinating projects, leading software training, consulting on the configuration of our software and actually configuring our software.  This position is instrumental in ensuring a successful rollout across the client organization and adoption of the software by end users.

Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate and Manage Project

  • Coordinate implementation projects and manage project work plans
  • Conduct weekly update meetings with clients

Consult on Use of Software

  • Review existing client documentation
  • Document existing business processes
  • Advise on ways to best structure and configure BPS Resolver’s software 
  • Configure software to meet client requirements and processes
  • Subject matter expert for BPS Resolver software, including both existing functionality and upcoming features
  • Provide guidance on the following topics:
    • SOX and Bill 198 Compliance
    • EnterpriseRisk Management
    • Internal Audit
    • Legislative Compliance Management
    • NERC Compliance
    • Environmental, Safety and Sustainability

Train Clients on Software

  • Preparing user materials and presentations to ensure successful learning and adoption of the new system
  • Lead training sessions for all BPS Resolver software solutions (typically 2-3 day courses)
  • Support the roll-out of BPS Resolver software across the client organization

Cross Sell and Up Sell

  • Identify new software and services sales opportunities on current engagements

Qualifications

Ideal candidates possess “Big 4” accounting or consulting firm experience and governance, risk management, compliance or software implementation consulting experience.

    • Ability to present to client groups from 1-20 people
    • Ability to determine the correct approach to reach each type of student in the classroom
    • Ability to facilitate client discussions and risk assessment workshops
  • Computer savvy and competent
    • Competent in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Visio
    • Ability to learn new software and develop expertise in multiple software applications
    • Exposure to GRC (governance, risk and compliance) software
  • Time management
    • Ability to work on multiple projects in a day
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Produce high quality work products, under pressure and within deadlines
  • Adaptability
    • Ability to thrive in an environment of pressing deadlines and constantly changing conditions
    • Ongoing willingness to learn and develop skill sets
    • Ability to explore all options and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of each

Experience:

  • University Degree
  • 1-3 years of consulting or related work experience
  • CA, CMA, CGA or PMP is desired

Working conditions

This position will include 25-50% travel withinNorth America.  Travel typically consists of 2-5 days on client site.

Compensation

Salary ranges from $45-75,000 based on seniority and relevant experience
